Farewell to Rock Legend Duane Eddy
The legendary rock and roll guitarist Duane Eddy passed away on the 30th of April 2024. He was 86 years old when he left the world. This iconic star was known for the "tawngy" guitar sound he made.
Duane was born on the 26th of April 1938 in New York. He grew up in Phoenix where he began playing the guitar at age 5. Music was in his blood from his younger years. When they moved to Arizona that's where he teamed up with Jimmy Delbridge and started creating ground breaking master pieces.
Duace was not only about music. He started acting in movies and TV shows too. Some of them are "Because They're Young," "A Thunder of Drums," and "The Wild Westerners.".
And let's not forget the honors. Inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Musicians Hall of Fame "signature guitar models"—Duane Eddy's name was everywhere. A lot of popular musicians such as Bruce Springsteen, George Harrision etc looked up to him as he was an industry legend.
Duane Eddy may have left the stage but his music will keep on playing reminding us of the incredible talent and passion he brought to the world. Rest Easy Duane Eddy!
