NOW Invests Up to $500K in 3-4 Deep Tech, Green Startups
NOW, a pioneering Sustainability Action Venture Studio (SAVES), has officially launched in India with a mission to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in the sustainability and climate-tech sectors. As the first-of-its-kind venture studio in India focused on climate tech and deep tech NOW aims to act as an institutional co-founder, investing in and co-building ventures from scratch to commercialization.
Venture Studio Model:
The Venture Studio model provides early-stage deep-tech founders developing critical sustainability and climate technologies with comprehensive support beyond financial backing. NOW will assist founders by providing finance, mentorship, product-market fit, access to market opportunities, corporate partnerships, and access to climate-tech experts, de-risking the idea-to-commercialization journey for startups.
Investment Plans:
In the next 12–18 months, NOW plans to invest $250,000–500,000 (Rs 2 crore to Rs 4 crore) each in 3–4 deep tech sustainability and climate tech startups. This significant investment will support startups in scaling their innovative solutions and addressing challenges in traditionally slow-to-change industries.
Founding Team and Leadership:
Founded by Gayathri Kuppendra Reddy, an entrepreneur, trained climate leader, and active angel investor, The core team, with over 40 years of combined experience across startup scaling, climate entrepreneurship, innovation, SaaS, and venture capital, is well-equipped to lead NOW's mission of fostering sustainability-focused innovation.

These sectors include built environment, industrial and supply chain decarbonization, energy, EV and mobility, agriculture and food, circular economy, and low-carbon materials, among others.
