I'll change the monarchy when I'm king, says Prince William

In an interview with palace sources, Prince William has said that if he were to the monarchy, he will bring reform to the country. In Windsor, the Prince was talking to actor Eugene Levy for Apple TV+'s

Reluctant Traveller. In a revealing interview, the actor spoke to Prince William about his upcoming role as King.
I think it's safe to say that change is on my agenda,he said.Change for good, and I accept that. " I love the change. I don't worry about it; the prospect of being able to bring some change excites me. Not particularly revolutionary, but changes that I believe must take place.

When Levy was given a tour of Windsor Castle, the prince made the remarks. William arrived to visit the actor on an electric scooter that he said he used to get around the castle grounds. He said he was a fan of the American Pie series of films, the slew of come-of-age films in which Levy played a long-suffering father. Prince William also talked about his family history on tour of some of the castle's grandest rooms.

I think history can be a real weight and an anchor around you if you're not careful, and if it is restricted by it too much. And I agree that it's important to live for the here and now. Prince Willam emphasizes the importance of history, but he says he isn't afraid to ask questions to keep the monarchy relevant.
When you look at history and go, is it really appropriate for today's use? Is that really the right thing to do? Is we still doing and having the most effect we could have? "I like to ask things, so I'm really getting at it.

The prince and the actor are taken on a dog walk around the Castle with Orla, the family's dog. They discuss family, children, media intrusion, and being an Aston Villa fan. A recurring theme of their conversations is the struggle of dealing with both his father and his wife dealing with cancer.

A lot of stuff to do with family overwhelms me. You know, if you're worried or worried about the family's situation, it does overwhelm me a bit.
The Prince takes the actor to the Two Brewers pub near Windsor Castle. Prince William is given a pint of sweet cider when Levy orders a tonne of Guinness. The Prince seems to be relaxed in informal settings where he discusses his family and how their children coped when their mother was sick.
We want to make sure they have the security and the protection they need,
Levy said.
We're a really open family, so we're all excited and things that worry us, but you don't know the knock on effects that it can have.
And so on, it's just important to be there for each other and to try to convince the children that everything is okay.

The interview does not discuss Prince Harry's personal life. However, when asked about his royal encounters, Prince William does mention his brother, despite the fact that his mother and father were under intense scrutiny.

I hope we don't go back to some of the things from Harry and I's childhood. And I'll do everything I can to ensure we don't regress in that situation.
Levy, who was speaking to the BBC, expressed surprise at how candid the Prince was during the interview. To me, it was just a conversation.I wasn't thinking about it in my own mind as some sort of scoop,he said.He was telling me what his thoughts were and we were able to have a little back and forth. For me, it was an utterly surreal day.
The prince and the actor finish their pints and round off their day together, and the prince says he wants to create a world for his son to be proud of.
You know life is meant to put us to the test, and it certainly can be stressful at times, and being able to get to the bottom of it is what makes us who we are. "I'm so proud of my wife and my dad for how they've handled all of last year. My children have managed brilliantly as well.
