Bad Bunny to Headline Super Bowl LX Halftime Show

Bad Bunny to Headline Super Bowl LX Halftime Show

Puerto Rican music icon Bad Bunny is set to take center stage at the Super Bowl LX halftime show in February 2026, marking a monumental moment for both his career and Latin music. In a statement Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, said, "What I'm feeling goes beyond myself. It's for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown. This is for my people, my culture, and our history."

Bad Bunny’s rise has been nothing short of meteoric. With a string of groundbreaking albums, including YHLQMDLG, El Último Tour Del Mundo, and the record-shattering Un Verano Sin Ti, he's become one of the most-streamed artists worldwide. He recently wrapped a successful residency in his hometown of Puerto Rico, where he drew over 500,000 fans and generated significant tourism revenue for the island.

The artist’s Super Bowl performance is being produced by Roc Nation and Apple Music, with Jay-Z praising Bad Bunny's influence on the global stage. "What Benito has done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring," said Jay-Z. Apple’s Vice President of Music, Sports, and Beats, Oliver Schusser, echoed the sentiment, calling Bad Bunny’s rise a "meteoric" force that has elevated Latin music to the center of global pop culture.

Bad Bunny follows in the footsteps of Kendrick Lamar, whose performance last year became the most-watched in Super Bowl history, with 127 million viewers tuning in. The Super Bowl is consistently one of the biggest stages in entertainment, and with Bad Bunny leading the show, anticipation is already building for what will be a high-energy performance representing Puerto Rican culture and Latin music.

While the Super Bowl is set to be one of Bad Bunny’s biggest US appearances, the artist has previously avoided performing in the United States on his world tour due to concerns about US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents potentially conducting raids on his fans. Despite these concerns, he will be making the exception for the Super Bowl, marking a major moment in his career and for Latin music’s visibility in mainstream US culture.

Bad Bunny’s upcoming world tour, set to kick off in November 2025, will take him across Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania.
