Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer Leaked Ahead of Official Release

Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer Leaked Ahead of Official Release

The highly anticipated trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI has been leaked online, giving fans an early glimpse into the sixth instalment of the blockbuster series.

The 90-second teaser was leaked 14 hours before its scheduled debut, sparking global headlines and leaving Rockstar Games in a challenging position.

The leaked footage confirmed that the game will be set in a Miami-inspired Vice City, marking a departure from the previous game's locations. The game is also set to feature a female protagonist named Lucia in a groundbreaking move for the series.

The last time a female lead graced a mainline game in the series was in the 1990s.

Despite the excitement generated by the leaked trailer, some crucial details remain unanswered. The gaming community is eager to learn which consoles the game will be available on, but the video did not provide this information.

Take-Two Interactive, the game's publisher, has announced that GTA VI will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X in 2025 since the release of the trailer. However, the absence of details about a potential PC version and the mysterious identity of Lucia's voice actor further fuel the anticipation surrounding the upcoming release.

This unexpected leak follows a previous incident where over 90 clips of GTA VI, still in the early stages of development, were circulated on social media.

Rockstar Games expressed their disappointment in an official statement, acknowledging an unauthorised third party's breach of their systems. The incident did not deter the developer, as they assured fans that work on the game would continue as planned.

Despite the challenges, the leaked trailer received positive feedback, indicating the enormous anticipation for the game's release. Analysts predict that Grand Theft Auto VI, set to be the most expensive game ever made, will likely surpass records upon its launch in 2025.

While the leaked trailer was not the intended unveiling, it has only heightened the excitement and anticipation surrounding this highly awaited gaming event.
