Telegram Founder Says His 100+ Children Will Inherit His Fortune

Telegram founder Pavel Durov has revealed that his estimated $13.9 billion fortune will be equally split among his more than 100 children. In an interview with Le Point, Durov explained that while he has six children with three partners, sperm donations he began 15 years ago resulted in over 100 additional offspring across 12 countries. “They are all my children and will all have the same rights!” he said, adding that he drafted a will recently due to the risks involved in his work.
However, his children won’t see the money anytime soon. “I decided that my children would not have access to my fortune until a period of thirty years has elapsed, starting from today,” Durov stated, hoping they "learn to trust themselves" first.
Known for his strict lifestyle, which includes 300 push-ups and 300 squats daily, no alcohol, coffee, or sugar, Durov is facing legal troubles too. French authorities have charged him for allegedly allowing criminal activity on Telegram, but he called the accusations “totally absurd,” saying, “Just because criminals use our messaging service among many others doesn't make those who run it criminals.”
Despite the controversy, Telegram remains one of the world’s top messaging apps, boasting over a billion active users. Durov, who holds French and UAE citizenship, has recently won a court ruling allowing limited travel to Dubai while the French investigation continues.
