Poland Eurovision Committee State That They Are Not In Talks With JoJo Siwa

Poland Eurovision Committee State That They Are Not In Talks With JoJo Siwa

JoJo Siwa recently sparked speculation about her potential involvement in Eurovision 2025, claiming on TikTok that she was in talks to represent Poland.

The 21-year-old, known for her rise to fame on Dance Moms, revealed her Polish heritage and expressed excitement about possibly performing in the iconic song contest after her recent song “Yesterday's Tomorrow's Today” has gained popularity in Poland.

"I actually happen to be Polish," she said, adding that participating would be "so freaking fun."

"If Poland wants me to represent, I will be there," Siwa said, saying that she had a new song idea ready for the competition as songs used in the competition cannot already be released.

Siwa's comments suggested that her song "Yesterday's Tomorrow's Today," which has gained popularity in Poland, might have led to serious talks about her Eurovision involvement.

Eurovision talks with Siwa denied by Poland Eurovision committee

However, these claims have been denied by Poland’s official Eurovision committee. The Polish broadcaster TVP, which is responsible for selecting the country's Eurovision act, released a statement clarifying that they are not in discussions with any artists for the 2025 contest.

"Telewizja Polska is not conducting any talks with artists on this matter and has not yet made any decisions regarding participation in the Contest," the statement read.

TVP also reminded fans in the statement that they are currently focused on the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, with preparations for the main Eurovision event still in the early stages. They assured the public that any updates on their participation in Eurovision 2025 would be communicated through official channels.

Despite this, JoJo seemed enthusiastic about the prospect, describing Poland as a "massive part" of her ancestry and expressing her willingness to work around any scheduling conflicts to make the Eurovision dream a reality.

The confusion highlights the sometimes complex process behind selecting Eurovision acts, where rumours and hopeful speculation often swirl long before official decisions are made.

While it’s not uncommon for countries to send artists from different backgrounds—such as Celine Dion, who won for Switzerland in 1988, or Flo Rida, who competed for San Marino in 2021—Poland seems to be taking a more traditional approach this year.

For now, JoJo Siwa’s Eurovision dreams appear to be on hold, at least as far as representing Poland is concerned.

Whether she might pursue another country or focus on her other projects remains to be seen, but her fans will undoubtedly keep a close watch on any further developments.
