Iconic Film and TV Props, Including Star Wars Helmet and Gladiator Mask, Up for Auction in London

An upcoming auction in London is set to make waves among film and TV memorabilia collectors.

Propstore, a leading entertainment memorabilia auctioneer, will be putting more than 1,800 items under the hammer from November 14th to 17th, with the total sale expected to exceed £10 million ($13.1 million).

1977 Star Wars Sandtrooper helmet one of the most highly sought after items up for sale at auction

Among the most coveted items is a Sandtrooper helmet from the 1977 classic Star Wars: A New Hope. Worn during the famous "Move Along" scene, the helmet is estimated to sell for between £250,000 and £500,000. Stephen Lane, founder and CEO of Propstore, called it an "incredibly rare artefact" from one of the most iconic scenes in the Star Wars saga.

In addition to the Sandtrooper helmet, fans of Star Wars can also bid on Yoda’s cane from The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

Lane described the collection as containing “truly remarkable items from cinematic legends.”

Batman, Back to the Future and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly among the franchises with props up for auction

Other highlights include Russell Crowe’s gladiator helmet and mask from Gladiator, which are expected to fetch up to £200,000. A Batsuit worn by Michael Keaton in Batman Returns is also on offer, with a price estimate between £100,000 and £200,000.

For fans of classic Westerns, Clint Eastwood's duster coat from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is another major highlight.

Lane emphasised the rarity of such items, saying, “Clint Eastwood costume pieces from those films virtually never, ever turn up.”

Movie buffs can also bid on iconic costumes like Michael J. Fox’s resizing jacket from Back to the Future Part II, which could go for up to £120,000, and Richard Burton’s battle costume from Cleopatra.

Alongside movie memorabilia, television fans can get their hands on props from popular shows. Among the notable items is Carrie Bradshaw's bed from Sex and the City, which is expected to draw plenty of attention from fans of the iconic series.

With so many rare items up for grabs, the auction promises to be an exciting event for collectors and fans alike. The live sessions will be held at Bafta in London, with online-only sessions available for the final two days.
