Taylor Swift's Record Weeks at No. 1 Albums

Taylor Swift's Record Weeks at No. 1 Albums

That's incredible news for Taylor Swift! Her remake of "1989 (Taylor’s Version)" has soared to the top of the Billboard 200 chart, marking its fourth and fifth time leading the list. This accomplishment has further solidified Swift's status, as she now holds the record for the most appearances at No. 1 by a solo artist, surpassing the legendary Elvis Presley. Only the Beatles have spent more weeks at No. 1 on this chart in its history.

The latest week saw "1989 (Taylor’s Version)" achieve the equivalent of 98,000 sales in the United States. Impressively, since its late October release, the album has garnered 2.8 million sales and over one billion streams in the U.S. alone, a testament to Swift's enduring popularity and the album's widespread appeal.

In a week that traditionally sees seasonal albums dominate, the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 featured multiple holiday-themed records, including Michael Bublé's "Christmas," Nat King Cole’s “The Christmas Song,” and Mariah Carey’s “Merry Christmas.” However, these festive albums are likely to see a decline in the following week's chart as the holiday season concludes.

Additionally, Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday 2" claimed the No. 3 spot, while Morgan Wallen’s “One Thing at a Time” maintained its position at No. 5, rounding out the diverse range of albums on the chart.

Swift's continual success on the Billboard 200 showcases her remarkable ability to captivate audiences and maintain a strong presence in the music industry.
