Some of NHS's temporary staff does not receive a full pay deal

The ongoing NHS problem is still there. As BBC writes, NHS staff is not being paid the entire pay deal, and this issue feels more than concerning.

NHS staff in England say they are not receiving an extra one-off payment. This payment is strictly awarded by the government. As we read, it is part of the latest pay deal for nurses and other workers such as ambulance crews. This pay is more than substantial for the NHS crew, yet the banking systems don't allow them to, finally, receive their money.

According to BBC, "The issue is affecting some "bank" staff, who provide temporary cover for hospital trusts to fill rota gaps."

"Some say they have not received the lump sum, of at least £1,655."

"It was part of the new pay agreement for more than a million NHS workers, in addition to a 5% rise."

The Department of Health and Social Care stated there was a deal, which, agreed with most unions, involved a one-off payment for staff. It was supposed to be made by directly employed by NHS organisations. Nonetheless, for those on locally managed contracts, such as, for example, bank staff, it was "up to individual employers to determine pay and conditions."
