Prince Harry Returns To UK To Pay Respects To Late Queen Elizabeth II
Prince Harry has returned to the UK to mark the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. Prince William and Princess Kate marked the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death with a visit to a Women's Institute event in Sunningdale, Berkshire — an organisation the late Queen was closely linked to. Dressed in dark attire, the couple paid quiet tribute while also honouring the memory of the Duchess of Kent, who passed away last week. Just 20 miles away, Prince Harry privately laid a wreath at Windsor Castle, where the Queen is buried, marking his first UK visit in five months.
While both princes are carrying out engagements this week, there's no sign of a reunion in the schedule. Harry’s UK trip includes attending the WellChild Awards in London and a visit to a community recording studio in Nottingham. He praised the WellChild honorees for showing "the power of compassion, connection and community," and is expected to announce a donation to Children in Need during his visit.
Despite being so physically close, Harry and William remain distant. The King, spending time in Scotland, is not scheduled for public engagements during Harry’s visit, and whether they’ll meet is unclear. Harry hasn’t seen his father in person since February, and there’s reportedly been no contact between the brothers for years.
