Liverpool and Adidas Reunite in Multi-Year Kit Deal
Liverpool FC has officially announced a new multi-year partnership with Adidas, bringing the sportswear giant back as the club’s official kit supplier starting August 1st, 2025. This marks the third time the two have joined forces, following previous partnerships from 1985 to 1996 and 2006 to 2012.
The deal will see Adidas providing match kits, training gear, and culture wear for the men’s, women’s, and Academy teams, as well as LFC Foundation staff. While the exact length of the agreement was not disclosed, reports suggest it is a five-year contract worth over £60 million per season. This announcement ends Liverpool’s current partnership with Nike, which has been supplying the kits for the past five seasons.
Liverpool CEO Billy Hogan expressed enthusiasm about the reunion, stating, "Everyone at the club is incredibly excited to welcome Adidas back into the LFC family. We have enjoyed fantastic success together in the past and created some of the most iconic LFC kits of all time." Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden echoed the sentiment, highlighting Liverpool’s status as "one of the biggest and most iconic names in world football" and promising "cutting-edge technology to perform at the highest level."
Adidas kits have long been associated with successful periods in Liverpool’s history, including three domestic league titles and multiple FA Cup wins. Many fans still regard the previous Adidas designs as some of the most beloved in the club’s history. The first look at the new home and away kits will be revealed closer to the August 2025 launch.
Liverpool’s deal with Adidas brings them back into the fold alongside other top European clubs. While Manchester United still holds the Premier League’s most lucrative kit deal at £90 million per year, this new agreement reinforces Liverpool’s standing among football’s elite.
