‘Ketamine Queen’ to Plead Guilty in Matthew Perry Overdose Case

‘Ketamine Queen’ to Plead Guilty in Matthew Perry Overdose Case

Jasveen Sangha, dubbed the “Ketamine Queen,” has agreed to plead guilty to five federal charges tied to the ketamine overdose death of Friends actor Matthew Perry. Prosecutors say Sangha supplied the drug that ultimately killed Perry in October 2023, with court records revealing she worked alongside Perry’s assistant and others in what authorities describe as a high-end ketamine distribution ring. Her plea includes admitting to running a drug-involved premises and multiple counts of ketamine distribution, including one resulting in death.

Sangha’s plea makes her the last of five people charged in the case to plead guilty, joining Perry’s assistant Kenneth Iwamasa, dealers Erik Fleming and Dr. Mark Chavez, and Dr. Salvador Plasencia. According to prosecutors, Sangha and Fleming supplied 51 vials of ketamine to Iwamasa, who injected Perry three times on the day he died. “She’s taking responsibility for her actions,” her attorney said, though prosecutors also noted she told Fleming to “delete all our messages” after news of Perry’s death broke.

This isn’t the first fatality tied to Sangha’s drug operation - she also admitted to selling ketamine to Cody McLaury in 2019, who died shortly after. Investigators found over 80 vials of ketamine and other drugs at her North Hollywood home, described as a “stash house.” Sangha faces up to 65 years in prison and is expected to formally enter her guilty plea in the coming weeks.
