Power outage hits Channel Tunnel as Eurostar urges passengers to postpone travel

After power supply issues caused significant disruption in the Channel Tunnel, Eurostar has advised passengers to postpone their travel plans. According to Le Shuttle, services at both terminals in Folkestone and Calais have been temporarily suspended

due to a power shortage issue. A number of Eurostar trains between London St Pancras, Paris, Lille, Brussels, and Amsterdam have been delayed or cancelled. In a tweet,

We're sorry that trains that can be operated are vulnerable to long delays and last-minute cancellations.

At least a dozen Eurostar services between the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands have been cancelled – many more have already been postponed or cancelled. National Rail said major disruption is likely to last until the end of the day.
