The Miami Grand Prix has set a new record for the most live television viewers in the US with an average of 3.1 million US viewers tuning in to watch the race. The race, which was aired on ABC, reached a peak viewership of 3.6 million viewers according to broadcaster ESPN. This is an increase of over 1 million viewers compared to the 2022 Miami Grand Prix, which was previously the most watched F1 race by US viewers.

The increase in viewership comes after a strategic push by Formula One to expand its presence in the American market. The success of the Netflix series Drive to Survive has also fueled interest in the sport in the US, resulting in calls for additional races in the United States. The race also saw more attention as Lando Norris took his first victory in his Formula One career, beating Max Vertsappen to the top of the podium.

Reflecting on his victory, Norris expressed gratitude for the support and acknowledged the challenges he faced along the way. His win was met with praise from fellow racers, including reigning champion Max Verstappen, who graciously acknowledged Norris's well-deserved victory and predicted more success in the future.
