Former Olympic Snowboarder Added to FBI's Most Wanted List

Ryan Wedding, a former Olympic snowboarder for Canada, has been placed on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list for allegedly running a violent transnational drug trafficking network. Authorities say Wedding, 43, was behind a massive operation that moved hundreds of kilograms of cocaine from Colombia through Mexico and Southern California to Canada and the U.S.

Wedding, who competed in the Giant Slalom at the 2002 Winter Olympics, is known by several aliases, including "El Jefe" and "Public Enemy." Authorities say Wedding and his accomplice, Andrew Clark, 34, led an organization responsible for trafficking approximately 60 tons of cocaine annually. Clark was arrested last October in Mexico and recently extradited to the U.S. Wedding, however, remains at large. Prosecutors allege the pair ordered multiple killings, including the murders of two family members in Ontario in November 2023, which were reportedly carried out due to a mistaken identity over a stolen drug shipment.

The FBI and U.S. State Department have announced a combined reward of up to $10 million for information leading to his arrest. Officials believe he is currently in Mexico but have not ruled out the possibility that he is hiding in Canada, the U.S., or elsewhere.

"The alleged murders of his competitors make Wedding a very dangerous man," said Akil Davis, Assistant Director of the FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office. "We need the public’s help to catch up with him before he puts anyone else in danger." Wedding faces serious charges, including murder, drug trafficking, and running a criminal enterprise. If convicted, he could face life in prison.

Anyone with information on Wedding's whereabouts is urged to contact the FBI through WhatsApp, Signal, or Telegram at +1-424-495-0614, or submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov.
