LinkedIn Taps into Gen Z with New Podcast
LinkedIn is set to debut its first podcast collaboration with iHeartRadio, featuring the Gen Z-centric show, “Let’s Talk Offline,” as part of its expanding podcast lineup.
Let’s Talk Offline: A LinkedIn Podcast
Hosted by LinkedIn’s Career Development Editor Gianna Prudente and Community Manager Jamé Jackson Gadsden, "Let’s Talk Offline" will offer younger listeners insights into the ever-changing world of work.
According to LinkedIn:
“This weekly chat show, launching next week, is all about thriving in the early years of your career—without compromising your values, mental health, or sleep. Each week, Jamé and Gianna will engage in honest conversations, while also addressing your candid questions about work, life, and their intersection. These are the questions you might hesitate to ask your manager or colleagues. In other words, Let’s Talk Offline.”
LinkedIn's Growing Podcast Network
LinkedIn has been steadily expanding its original podcast content since launching its Podcast Network in 2022. The network now includes various LinkedIn-branded podcasts focused on professional development and career skills.
Last year, LinkedIn also introduced its Podcast Academy to support creators venturing into audio content. This new collaboration with iHeartRadio will further enhance its reach, leveraging iHeartRadio’s network, which already boasts over 160 million podcast downloads each month.
The Rise of Podcasting
Podcast listenership has seen consistent growth over the past decade, with approximately 460 million people now regularly tuning in. Given LinkedIn’s emphasis on providing dynamic, on-the-go insights and learning, podcasts are a natural fit for the platform’s broader offerings and may become an increasingly important feature.
It will be intriguing to observe the additional opportunities this new partnership might bring and whether LinkedIn will continue to expand its podcast distribution through iHeartRadio.
