Sources reported that the overnight US airstrikes targeted the headquarters of the Iraqi armed group Kataib Hezbollah in the city of Hilla, situated south of Baghdad. The strikes resulted in casualties among Iraqi military personnel. Iraq reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and reiterated that any armed aggression by external forces or militant groups within its borders would be met with strong opposition.
