Twitter: Elon Musk replaces the iconic blue bird with his "X"

A white X on a black background, Twitter's new logo, has been unveiled by Twitter's chief executive after its owner Elon Musk said he wanted to get rid of the bird logo.

Furthermore, Elon Musk also changed his profile picture to the new logo. He added "X.com" to his Twitter bio.

According to BBC, Musk "wants to create a 'super app' called 'X'."

Last Morning, Musk wrote on his Twitter: "And soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds." His post caused resentment on the platform, as users believe this change is, actually, unnecessary.

Musk wrote later that the "Interim X logo goes live later today" and he did, as he wrote before.

The bird is called Larry, which, according to Biz Stone, was a tribute to basketball star (Boston Celtics) Larry Bird.

The new tweets already reveal the users' frustration related to changing the logo. People are used to the classical logo of Twitter, thus Musk's X is not entirely attractive to them.

The whole rebranding of Twitter cause some astonishment in recent months, as Musk changed the site's agenda.

Modifying Twitter's logo is another step in that process.
