Migrant who returned to UK after removal sent back to France

A migrant who returned to the United Kingdom by small boat after being arrested in France under the one-in, one out scheme has been recalled. According to Home Office reports, a returns flight on Wednesday morning carried the man who was arrested on 19 September and returned to the United Kingdom on October 18th. In France, an Irish man was convicted of modern slavery at the hands of smuggling gangs. After being identified by biometrics and arrested, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood said the man's case had been expedited.

Anyone trying to return to the United Kingdom after being barred from the UK-France deal is wasting their time and resources,
she said.

My message is straightforward: If you want to return to the United Kingdom, you will be sent back. I'll do whatever it takes to reduce illegal migrants' removals and protect our borders.
The guy, who has not been identified,
the Guardian reported that he returned to the United Kingdom because he feared for his life in France.
They treated me like a valuable commodity, coerced me to work, assaulted me, assaultled me, threatened me with a pistol, and told me I would be killed if I made the slightest protest," he said. So far, 94 migrants have been barred from the UK as part of the deal, in which the UK has agreed to welcome asylum seekers who have filed a claim for protection and have not attempted to cross the Channel illegally. 57 people have arrived from France under the scheme.
