Man charged with attempted murder over train attack
After multiple people were stabbed on a train, a 32-year-old man was charged with ten counts of attempted murder. Anthony Williams was arrested after an LNER train from Doncaster to London King's Cross, which came to a stop in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, shortly before 20:00 GMT on Saturday. He had been charged with one count of assault occasioning real bodily harm and one count for possession of a bladed , according to British Transport Police. Mr Williams, of Cuckmere Lane, Southampton, will appear in Peterborough Magistrates' Court later today.
According to police, the charge of real bodily harm was connected to an alleged assault of an officer in a detention facility. Mr Williams has since been charged with another count of attempted murder and the carrying of a bladed in connection with an incident at Pontoon Dock DLR station in the early hours of Saturday. A person sustained facial injury after being assaulted with a knife on a train in Silvertown, east London, at around 00:45, according to officers.

The assault took place on the 18:25 London North Eastern Railway (LNER) service from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, to London's King's Cross station.
