Benn masterclass crushes Eubank in rematch

Benn masterclass crushes Eubank in rematch

Conor Benn earned revenge over bitter rival Chris Eubank Jr. And win by a unanimous decision in their rematch at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Eubank, who won on points when they first appeared in April, was shot-shy throughout and had no answer to a heavy-handed Benn. Going into the final round, Benn had a wide lead until he put Eubank down twice before triumphantly stepping up to the ropes to celebrate as the final bell rang. In Benn's favour, the judges scored it 119-107, 116-110, and 118-108.

This is the end of the Benn-Eubank story, which has come to an end. Chris has twins and I have my boy, but this one comes to an end,
Benn said. I can't box, put it in your pipe, and inhaled it, every one says.
Without Chris, this would not have been what it was like. Most importantly, our fathers are the same as grandparents, and never have been done before in history. Thanks to Chris for revealing the ring with me.
He has been branded a brawler throughout his career, but he had a lot more to offer in sealing this victory. Nigel did something his father Nigel was unable to do in the 1990s by winning a Eubank after being split up two divisions to make this fight happen.
Not bad for two silver spoon kids! In a reference to both fighters growing up with famous fathers, Benn said.
I like [Mario] Barrios for the WBC world championship," Ryan Garcia, [Rolly] Romero, Devin Haney, all of them can get it. Any day of the week, and twice on Sundays.

Following a lengthy two-and-a-half years build-up, Benn, 29, said he brought too much emotion into April's fight, resulting in his suspension for failing drug screenings in 2022. This time, however, he seemed much more composed, resuming with a more effective tactic, combining raw aggression with precisely selected shots to effectively break Eubank down. Despite the emotional sensitivity of the competition, Eubank's man is at a crossroads in his career, aged 36, after a flat display.

I've been through hell and back to get to this night, but it is what it is,
Eubank said.
It's 1-1, I have to go away and deal with some of the problems I've been dealing with over the past few months.
I tried my best, the kid fought hard, but he has power. We put on a performance, Benn was the better man tonight, and that was the point of contention.

Marching bands, 50 Cent & fur coats

Chris Eubank Sr defeated Nigel Benn on November 18, 1990, just 35 years ago, just over three years ago. Despite the fact that there was no title on the line, the intensity of the rivalry was sufficient to knock out some major names from the sport and entertainment industry. Jeremy Piven and Pierce Brosnan, guitarist Emma Bunton and Rod Stewart, as well as ex-Arsenal footballer Thierry Henry were among the celebrities watching from ringside. Trying to recreate the first bout's glory was always going to be a stumbling block, but it came short of achieving a sell-out. The Eubanks' arrival - both were awaited this time - gave more insight into public opinion as boos rang out around the stadium. Nonetheless, it was all cheers as Benn was seen stepping out of his car. Benn made his entrance to roaring applause and alongside father Nigel. They were led by a percussion troop who began with Phil Collins' 'In the Air Tonight' before the Fugees turned into a remix of 'Ready or Not'. Eubank Jr. Walked second in a white fur coat, while his father Eubank Sr was also by his side. They were initially welcomed by boos before American rapper 50 Cent came out to perform a medley of songs as they weaved through the crowd.

Benn pulls one back in grudge match

Benn started the game on the front foot, often finding a home with his strong right hand to head and body. As Eubank seemed hesitant and lethargic, the 29-year-old quickly built up a head of steam. As it became clear he needed to make some significant improvements going into the eighth round, trainer Brian 'Bomac' McIntyre pleaded with Eubank to

turn this into a war. However, he struggled to find any rhythm and was constantly biting on Benn's feints before being backed up into the corners. Eubank Sr. Was left on a message from the corner before the ninth, urging for more urgency and reminding his son that only four rounds were left. Benn's corner asked his corner
what round is this? as they prepare to enter the 12th.But when he knew there were just three minutes left to go, he unloaded the tank with a flourish and get the audience to their feet. For the first time, Benn executed a jab to the face and then a right to the temple to place Eubank down for the first moment, and he immediately went on the attack to knock his opponent down seconds later. Eubank made it to the final whistle, but the bank was forced to watch as Benn wheeled away to celebrate with his family, who had waited 35 years for a victory over the Eubanks. I felt the pressure on me to resolve it tonight.I didn't come from the world; I just wanted to do the family name proud,Benn said.I've completed it mate! We're only just getting started.
