"The Most Friendly Arrest": Usher's Ex-Wife Tameka Foster's Bodycam Footage Arrest

BROOKHAVEN, GA — In a bizarre intersection of celebrity travel and administrative oversight, newly released bodycam footage has revealed the moment Tameka Foster, the ex-wife of R&B superstar Usher, was removed from an airplane and arrested by Brookhaven police officers.

The footage, obtained by TMZ and circulated widely across social media on Tuesday, captures what many are calling one of the most polite law enforcement interactions in recent celebrity history.

The Plane-Side "Warrant"

The incident occurred as Foster was returning to Georgia from a trip to St. Barths. According to the police report, officers boarded the aircraft on January 5 and paged the 55-year-old fashion designer over the loudspeaker.

The bodycam video shows a visibly surprised but calm Foster being escorted from her seat. The "warrant" in question stemmed from a failure to appear in court regarding a ticket she received last summer for driving without current car insurance. While Foster had reportedly rectified the insurance issue the day after the initial stop, she failed to appear in person to present the proof to a judge—resulting in an automatic bench warrant.

"Craziest Out-of-Body St"**

Far from the confrontational "resisting arrest" clips common on the internet, the footage shows Foster joking with the arresting officer. At one point, she playfully pleads with the officer not to tell anyone about the arrest, noting it had only been four days since her 55th birthday.

“This is the craziest out-of-body s**t I’ve ever experienced,” Foster says in the video while waiting for processing. “The sad part is, I got pulled over for nothing. I don’t even have a speeding ticket.”

The officer is heard apologizing for the situation, telling Foster, “I’m sorry if you feel like you were treated unfair,” to which she responds that she understands the procedure, adding, “If I were acting belligerent or something, I’d understand [the cuffs].”

A Warning to Others

In a candid Instagram Live session following the footage leak, Foster (who starred in the reality series Bold & Bougie) set the record straight for her followers. She described the initial stop on Peachtree Road in Atlanta as a "driving while Black" moment but took full responsibility for the paperwork oversight.

“Handle your business. Stay on point,” Foster warned her fans. “Make sure all your i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed. A minor paperwork issue turned into a major public moment.”

The Legacy of the Raymonds

Foster was married to Usher from 2007 to 2009 and shares two teenage sons with him, Usher "Cinco" Raymond V and Naviyd Ely. While the pair famously endured a grueling three-year custody battle a decade ago, they have recently maintained a more private and stable co-parenting relationship.

The Brookhaven Police Department confirmed that the matter was resolved almost immediately after Foster paid the outstanding fine and provided the necessary proof of insurance. For Foster, the ordeal serves as a high-profile reminder that in the eyes of the law, even a "perfect" driving record can't save you from a missed court date.
