Forbes Magazine has honored the University of Kentucky (UK) by including it in their esteemed America’s Best Large Employers list, securing a spot in the top 100 out of 500 companies. Notably, the UK clinched the 11th position in the education category, standing shoulder to shoulder with renowned organizations like Garmin, Delta Air Lines, and Fidelity Investments.

 

Melissa Frederick, Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at UK, expressed her delight at this recognition, stating, “It is gratifying to receive another recognition of UK as a great workplace. Our university has bold goals, and we know we need to continue to attract and retain the very best faculty and staff to help us achieve them."

 

The selection process for America's Best Large Employers involved an exhaustive survey of over 170,000 U.S. employees across various sectors. Companies with at least 5,000 employees in the U.S. were considered for evaluation, totaling over 3.5 million employer assessments. The final rankings were determined based on both personal evaluations from employees and public assessments from friends, family, and industry peers.

 

As the UK celebrates this accolade, it reaffirms the institution's commitment to prioritizing talent and fostering a people-first culture. Amidst economic uncertainties, the university remains steadfast in its dedication to providing exceptional employee experiences.
