It was officially revealed that nearly 580 people were injured in a near-midnight quake. Epicentre was in subzero temperatures when the earthquake occurred. A cold wave makes rescue work tougher and more urgent. Thousands of rescue personnel were dispatched for emergency work. Utility and infrastructure are damaged in some parts.
