Rolling Stones Become First Act With Top 10 Albums in Each Decade Since the 60s

Rock legends, The Rolling Stones, have achieved a historic milestone as they become the first act to consistently land top 10 albums in the United States in every decade since the 1960s. Their latest studio album, 'Hackney Diamonds,' released on October 20 and has stormed into third place on the Billboard charts.

This accomplishment extends their record as the act with the most top 10 albums in the US, totaling an impressive 38 albums. In the UK, 'Hackney Diamonds' has also catapulted the group to number one for the 14th time, putting them alongside Robbie Williams, and placing them just behind The Beatles' 16 chart-toppers. Their musical prowess even extends to the vinyl realm, as 'Hackney Diamonds' dominated the UK Official Vinyl Albums Chart last week.

'Hackney Diamonds' is the band's first collection of original songs since 2005 and boasts an impressive lineup of guests including Sir Elton John and Lady Gaga.

Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood continue to defy the passage of time by maintaining their rock 'n' roll reign. The release is their first studio album following the passing of drummer Charlie Watts in 2021. The late drummer's seat is now filled by Steve Jordan, who joined the band for their recent summer tour.

Fans eagerly await a potential American tour pencilled in for next year, and for those hoping for a Glastonbury Festival appearance, Wood's response was clear: "I'd love it. I think it's a must." In a true display of the Stones' enduring legacy, 'Hackney Diamonds' not only secures their place in rock history but also proves that age is just a number for these iconic musicians.
