Assault Rifle Attack: Woman Arrested After Firing Multiple Shots at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills Mansion

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — A tranquil Sunday afternoon in one of Los Angeles’ most exclusive neighborhoods was shattered yesterday when a lone assailant allegedly opened fire on the home of global superstar Rihanna.

Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers responded to a "shots fired" call at approximately 1:21 p.m. on 8th March at the Beverly Crest estate the singer shares with her partner, A$AP Rocky, and their three children. According to law enforcement, a 30-year-old female suspect was apprehended shortly after the incident and remains in custody.

The Attack: Ten Rounds and a Pierced Wall

Police dispatch audio and witness reports describe a brazen daylight assault. The suspect, driving a white Tesla, reportedly pulled up across the street from the property's main gate and discharged approximately 10 rounds from what investigators described as an AR-15-style assault rifle.

While initial reports suggested the shots hit only the gate, a law enforcement source later confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that at least one high-velocity round penetrated a wall of the colonial-style mansion.

“This was a targeted and incredibly dangerous act of violence,” an LAPD spokesperson stated during a brief press conference. “The recovery of an assault-style weapon and multiple casings at the scene underscores the severity of the threat.”

Rihanna “A-OK” but Shaken

At the time of the shooting, Rihanna was reportedly inside the residence. While representatives for the Fenty mogul have yet to issue a formal statement, sources close to the family say the 38-year-old singer is "okay" and physically unharmed.

It remains unclear if A$AP Rocky or the couple’s three children—RZA, Riot Rose, and five-month-old Rocki Irish—were present during the gunfire.

The Suspect and Search for Motive

The suspect was located by patrol officers roughly 12 kilometers away from the scene just minutes after the initial 911 call. She was taken into custody without further incident.

Authorities have not yet released the woman’s identity or a potential motive for the attack. Detectives are currently investigating whether the shooter has a history of stalking or if the residence was targeted at random. LAPD Captain Mike Bland noted that formal booking allegations and additional suspect details are expected to be made public later today, Monday 9th March.

Security in the Spotlight

The incident has reignited concerns regarding the safety of high-profile celebrities in the Los Angeles area. Rihanna, who purchased the property in 2020, has faced security breaches in the past, including a 2018 incident where an intruder spent 12 hours inside one of her former homes.

This latest attack comes at an otherwise celebratory time for the couple. A$AP Rocky was recently acquitted of all criminal charges in a separate 2021 shooting case on 18th February and is currently preparing for his "Don't Be Dumb" world tour, set to kick off in May.

As the investigation continues, a heightened security presence remains at the Beverly Hills property. For a star who recently joked about "cracking the code" for her ninth album, the focus has suddenly shifted from the studio to the safety of her sanctuary.
