‘Chaos and Diaper Runs’: Nick Cannon’s Family of 12 Lands Landmark Netflix Docuseries
LOS ANGELES — The most discussed family tree in Hollywood is officially branching out into the world of streaming. Netflix has confirmed a series order for a sprawling, untitled docuseries centred on the life and "unconventional" fatherhood of Nick Cannon.
The announcement, made during the streamer's spring content showcase on Wednesday 13th May, promises to pull back the curtain on the "complete chaos" of the 45-year-old entertainer’s life. Scheduled for a Winter 2026 premiere, the series will follow Cannon as he navigates a high-octane career alongside the logistical whirlwind of raising 12 children with six different mothers.
‘Kardashian Glam Meets Messy Parenting’
In a press release shared via Netflix’s Tudum, the project is described as a "premium, binge-worthy docuseries" that balances "million-dollar business meetings with midnight diaper runs."
While Cannon has long been the subject of internet memes and late-night jokes regarding his growing family, producers insist the show will offer a more vulnerable perspective. The series aims to show a "genuinely committed" father trying to be present for every child across multiple households while managing a media empire that includes The Masked Singer and Wild 'N Out.
“I’ve spent decades entertaining the world,” Cannon said in a statement. “But the role that matters most to me is being a father. It’s time to show the reality of what that looks like—the love, the challenges, and the beautiful mess of it all.”
A Blended Cast
While it remains unconfirmed if Cannon’s most famous ex-wife, Mariah Carey, will appear on camera, the series is expected to feature several of the mothers of his children, including Abby De La Rosa, Brittany Bell, Bre Tiesi, and Alyssa Scott.
The docuseries will reportedly track the family’s dynamics across the latter half of 2025 and 2026, exploring how the various households coordinate holidays, birthdays, and the "headline-making drama" that frequently surrounds the Cannon clan.
The Cannon Household – A Series Overview
| Mother | Children | Key Dynamic |
| Mariah Carey | Moroccan, Monroe (15) | The "Legacy" teens; co-parenting with a superstar. |
| Brittany Bell | Golden, Powerful, Rise | The middle years; focus on education and activity. |
| Abby De La Rosa | Zion, Zillion, Beautiful | The "DJ" household; high-energy twins. |
| Alyssa Scott | Halo Marie | Navigating life after the tragic loss of son, Zen. |
| Bre Tiesi | Legendary Love | Real estate and "Selling Sunset" style glamour. |
| LaNisha Cole | Onyx Ice Cole | Private family life away from the Hollywood glare. |
The ‘Wild ’N Out’ Momentum
The Netflix deal marks a strengthening of ties between Cannon and the streaming giant. Only last week, Cannon brought his hit improv show, Wild 'N Out: On the Road, to Los Angeles as part of the Netflix Is A Joke festival, performing to a sold-out crowd at The United Theater on Broadway.
The upcoming docuseries is being produced by Velvet Hammer Media and Pantheon Media Group, with showrunners from hit reality staples like Love Island USA and Age of Attraction at the helm.
The Verdict
By commissioning a "Kardashian-level" production for Cannon, Netflix is betting that public curiosity about the entertainer’s domestic life will translate into massive viewing figures. Whether the show can move the needle from "meme fodder" to "relatable parenting" remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: come this winter, the Cannon family will be the only thing the internet is talking about.
