Hottie Hits the Small Screen: Megan Thee Stallion Joins NBC’s ‘The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins’
NEW YORK — NBC’s newest comedy heavy-hitter is adding some "real Hottie" energy to its roster. Megan Thee Stallion has officially landed a standout guest-starring role in The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, joining an already eccentric powerhouse cast led by Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe.
The series, which premiered to a massive 5.8 million viewers following the NFL playoffs in January, has quickly become the season’s most-watched new comedy. Now, with the release of the official midseason trailer yesterday, fans have their first look at the Grammy-winning rapper’s debut in the "Reggie-verse."
An Unexpected Spark
Megan stars as Denise, a recently divorced mother who catches the eye of Arthur Tobin (Radcliffe), the award-winning but socially awkward filmmaker currently living in Reggie’s mansion to document his comeback.
The trailer teases an "odd-couple" chemistry between Megan and Radcliffe, a pairing that executive producer Tina Fey reportedly championed. While Reggie (Morgan) is busy trying to scrub his image following a gambling scandal, the burgeoning flirtation between Arthur and Denise looks to provide the season's primary romantic sub-plot.
The "30 Rock" DNA
Created by the 30 Rock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt dream team of Robert Carlock and Sam Means, the show features the fast-paced, surreal humor that defined NBC’s "Must-See TV" era.
“Denise isn't just a guest spot; she’s the only person in the room who sees Arthur for who he actually is,” a production insider shared. “Megan’s comedic timing is naturally sharp—she fits into the Carlock/Fey dialogue like she’s been doing it for years.”
A Star-Studded Rehab
The addition of Megan Thee Stallion bolsters an ensemble that already features:
-
Tracy Morgan as the titular Reggie Dinkins, a washed-up football star desperate for relevance.
-
Daniel Radcliffe as Arthur Tobin, the filmmaker tasked with saving Reggie's legacy.
-
Erika Alexander as Monica, Reggie’s long-suffering ex-wife and business manager.
-
Bobby Moynihan as Gator, Reggie’s fiercely loyal (and often misguided) former teammate.
Where to Watch
Megan’s episodes are expected to air later this spring as the show settles into its regular timeslot. Following its early January preview, The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins will officially resume its ten-episode season on Monday 23rd February at 8:30 PM EST on NBC, with episodes streaming the next day on Peacock.
As Reggie Dinkins attempts to rise from the ashes of his career, it seems Megan Thee Stallion might just be the one to steal the show.
