‘Dessert Every Day’: Jonah Hill Casually Reveals Secret Marriage and Arrival of Second Child

LOS ANGELES — In a move that mirrors his recent shift toward extreme privacy, Jonah Hill has confirmed that he is a married man and a father of two. The Wolf of Wall Street star, 42, dropped the double bombshell during an intimate conversation with legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese for Interview Magazine, published Thursday 9th April.

While discussing his creative process and his new Apple TV+ film Outcome, which premieres today 10th April, Hill casually referred to his long-term partner, Olivia Millar, as his “wife” and revealed the couple recently welcomed their second child.

The Subtle "Wife" Reveal

The confirmation of their nuptials wasn't a grand announcement, but rather a natural mention during a deep dive into the anxieties of filmmaking. While discussing the feedback loop of directing, Hill let the status slip:

“I was saying to my wife, ‘He’s seeing it over the weekend, so what if he hates it but already agreed to do it?’” Hill told Scorsese, referring to a collaborator’s reaction to his latest project.

A representative for the actor later confirmed the marriage to PEOPLE, simply stating that the actor is “happy.” The couple was first linked in August 2022 and sparked engagement rumors in March 2023 when Millar was spotted wearing a prominent diamond ring.

A Growing "Family of Four"

In addition to the marriage news, Hill shared that he and Millar are now parents to two children. The couple welcomed their first child in May 2023, an arrival marked by Hill’s notable absence from his sister Beanie Feldstein’s wedding that same weekend.

Regarding his second child, whose birth was kept entirely under wraps until now, Hill explained how fatherhood has radically shifted his professional boundaries.

Jonah Hill’s Evolving Work-Life Balance

Era Creative Focus Personal Philosophy
2010s High-volume acting (Superbad, Moneyball) "Always on," heavy media promotion.
2022 Directing/Writing (Stutz) Stepped back from media to protect mental health.
2026 The "Outcome" Era "The only thing that could separate me from my family is the editing room."

“Editing is Dessert”

Hill’s conversation with Scorsese highlighted a man deeply at peace with his new domestic life. He described the "family of four" dynamic as his primary anchor, noting that while he loves the writing and shooting phases of filmmaking, the post-production phase is the only work he finds "worth" the time away from his kids.

“I have two kids now,” Hill shared. “I love the writing, I love the shooting, but editing… it’s like dessert every day. Even the problems are dessert.”

Who is Olivia Millar?

Millar, the daughter of iconic 1980s "energy girl" model Esmé Marshall, has maintained a low profile alongside Hill. She is the co-founder of Chasseresse, an online vintage and sustainable fashion retailer she operates with her sister, Raychel.

The couple’s preference for "stealth wealth" and privacy has become a hallmark of their relationship. Hill, who famously stopped participating in traditional press tours in 2022 to protect his mental health, appears to have found a lifestyle that allows him to remain one of Hollywood’s most respected creators without the "invasion" of the paparazzi lens.

Outcome, starring Hill alongside Keanu Reeves and Cameron Diaz, is available to stream on Apple TV+ starting today.
