LOS ANGELES — Ketchup Entertainment has released the first trailer for November 1963, a historical crime thriller starring John Travolta and Robert Carlyle that promises to revisit the assassination of President John F. Kennedy through the dark lens of organized crime (trailer below).

Directed by Oscar winning filmmaker Roland Joffé (The Mission, The Killing Fields), the film unfolds across the critical 48-hour period surrounding 22nd November 1963.

Rather than relying on government records, the narrative promises an insider's perspective from within the Chicago Outfit, exploring the mob's alleged involvement in setting up the deadliest political conspiracy in modern American history.

Set for a North American theatrical release on 20th November 2026, the film boasts a heavyweight veteran ensemble.

Inside the Chicago Outfit

Written by Nicholas Celozzi, the nephew of notorious Chicago mob boss Sam Giancana. The screenplay draws on first hand family accounts and inner-circle insights.

The narrative centers on an alleged clandestine deal struck between Joseph Kennedy Sr. and Chicago mob chief Sam Giancana to secure key union votes and election momentum for JFK in 1960.

However, when Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy subsequently launched an aggressive federal crackdown on organized crime, the syndicate viewed the administration's actions as a lethal betrayal, triggering a retaliatory assassination plot involving a second shooter and a carefully positioned "patsy".

The newly released trailer showcases two-time Oscar nominee John Travolta as smooth-talking mob enforcer Johnny Roselli, alongside Scottish BAFTA winner Robert Carlyle (Trainspotting, The Full Monty) as Dallas nightclub owner Jack Ruby.

"Kill a man, he dies once. Kill his son, he dies 10,000 deaths", the dramatic tagline warns, framing the presidency's downfall as the mob's ultimate act of vengeance.
