Ex-Premier League Referee David Coote Pleads Guilty to Making An Indecent Image Of A Child

Former Premier League referee David Coote has pleaded guilty to making an indecent image of a child in response to an allegation involving a category A video, the most serious classification of child sexual abuse material, which was recovered by police officers in February.
The 43-year-old appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday, where he spoke only to confirm his name and enter his plea during a brief six-minute hearing. Coote had previously denied the offence during a hearing in September.
Coote, who lives in Collingham, near Newark, was granted conditional bail and is scheduled to return to court for sentencing on 11th December.
