European Culture Street in Guangzhou 2024
The city of Guangzhou experienced a taste of European culture on Saturday, April 20, 2024, as the European Union showcased its rich diversity through the "European Culture Street" event. Hosted by the Delegation of the European Union to China in collaboration with EU Member States' diplomatic missions, the event aimed to foster cultural exchanges and mutual understanding between Europe and China.
Cultural Diplomacy in Action:
At the opening ceremony, Ambassador Jorge Toledo highlighted the EU's commitment to supporting people-to-people exchanges and promoting cultural understanding. Emphasizing Europe's diversity and creativity, he encouraged visitors to explore each EU Member State booth and participate in the cultural activities. Ambassador Toledo also underscored the importance of expanding the space for such exchanges within China.
