NEW YORK — The global release schedule for Catherine Zeta-Jones’s highly anticipated revenge series Kill Jackie has been officially locked in, with all eight episodes set to premiere on 2nd October.
The high-octane thriller will drop simultaneously on AMC+ for audiences in the United States and on Amazon Prime Video across the UK and European territories.
Adapted from the bestselling novel The Price You Pay by Nick Harkaway (writing under the pen name Aidan Truhen), the limited series stars Oscar, BAFTA, and Tony-winning actor Zeta-Jones as an art dealer forced to unleash her lethal past when a team of hitmen marks her for execution.
A Hunted Art Dealer Fights Back
The eight-part drama follows Jackie Price (Zeta-Jones), a former international drug smuggler who successfully escaped her criminal enterprise two decades ago. Having spent twenty years living a quiet, opulent lifestyle trading fine art, her anonymity is shattered when she discovers "The Seven Demons", an elite collective of the world’s most terrifying contract killers, have been hired to eliminate her.
Rather than fleeing, Jackie taps into her dark web connections and ruthless instincts to turn the tables, vowing to hunt down and eliminate all seven assassins before they can reach her.
Executive produced by Zeta-Jones alongside Peter Lawson (John Wick), the series boasts key creative direction from showrunner Tom Butterworth (Gangs of London) and director Damon Thomas (Killing Eve).
"Jackie is a character who refuses to play the victim," executive producer Peter Lawson noted in a recent production preview. "It’s a stylish, razor-sharp cat-and-mouse game where our lead isn't just surviving—she's taking control of the narrative in the most violent, clever ways possible."
A Star-Studded International Ensemble
Alongside Zeta-Jones, Kill Jackie features an extensive international cast.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms star Daniel Ings co-leads the project alongside Sidse Babett Knudsen (Borgen), Bill Paterson (Fleabag), and Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy).
The ensemble is rounded out by Óscar Jaenada, Hattie Hook, Darci Shaw, Raff Law, Enzo Cilenti, Christine Adams, and Julian Rhind-Tutt.
Filmed across picturesque locations including Bilbao, Lisbon, London, and Zeta-Jones’s hometown of Swansea, the series marks her high-profile return to television following her praised turn as Morticia Addams in Wednesday.
