Netflix Greenlights New Adult Animated Series "The Undervale" From Rick and Morty's Matt Roller

Netflix has announced that they have greenlit a new adult comedy series from Rick and Morty's Matt Roller called “The Undervale”. The show follows a single mother trying to manage a haunted hotel, assisted by her ghostly estranged brother who believes the other spirits have some good ideas.

Matt Roller, known for his work on Krapopolis, Rick and Morty, and Community, is the creator, showrunner and executive producer for the series. He is joined by executive producers Chris McKenna, Dan Harmon, and Steve Levey, with Erica Hayes joining the team as supervising director.

Roller expressed his excitement in a statement to Netflix. "I’m thrilled to be working with Netflix and an amazingly talented cast and crew to bring to life the stories of the dead, the evil, and the struggling hospitality workers at the Undervale Hotel."

The project was highly competitive, with Netflix securing it through a straight-to-series order. Roller intends to leverage his extensive experience from shows like "Krapopolis" and "Community" to make "The Undervale" a standout series.

This series adds to Netflix’s growing list of adult animated content, which includes hits like "Big Mouth" and "BoJack Horseman."

Fans can expect "The Undervale" to bring a unique blend of humor and spooky charm, with a release date to be announced. Keep an eye on Netflix for more updates on this exciting new series.
