Kylie Minogue Announces 2025 World Tour and New Album Tension II

Kylie Minogue Announces 2025 World Tour and New Album Tension II

Kylie Minogue has announced her biggest world tour in over a decade, alongside the release of Tension II, a follow-up to her 2023 album Tension. The 13-track album will drop on October 18, with the lead single, "Lights Camera Action," coming on September 27.

The pop icon, now 56, is riding high on the success of Tension and her viral track "Padam Padam," which won her the 2024 Grammy for Best Pop Dance Recording. This year has also seen her perform at London's Hyde Park and Las Vegas residency, adding to her already celebrated career.

Minogue expressed her excitement about the tour, stating, “I can’t wait to share beautiful and wild moments with fans all over the world, celebrating the Tension era and more!”

Tension Tour is Minogue’s first major global tour in over 10 years

The Tension Tour will begin in Australia in February 2025 before making its way through Asia and the UK, with additional dates in Europe, North America, and South America to be announced soon.

The tour marks Minogue’s first major global stint since her Aphrodite: Les Folies tour in 2011. It’s been five years since her last set of live performances, the Golden tour in 2018-2019. Fans can look forward to hearing tracks from both Tension and Tension II, which includes collaborations with the likes of Sia, Bebe Rexha, Orville Peck, and Tove Lo.

Fans face scheduling dilemmas with tour dates

The UK leg of the tour kicks off in May 2025, with dates in major cities like Glasgow, Newcastle, and London. However, some fans are already facing scheduling dilemmas: the Newcastle shows clash with Eurovision in Switzerland, and the Sydney performances coincide with the city’s annual Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade, leaving some supporters with tough choices.

Despite some fan conflict over dates, excitement for the tour and album is high. Minogue has been a global pop sensation since her Neighbours days in the 1980s and continues to evolve her sound, as demonstrated by her recent shift toward electronic dance with "Padam Padam."

Minogue added that she "can't possibly let the Tension era be over just yet," promising a spectacular show for her devoted fanbase.
