Adele Postpones Las Vegas Residency Due to Illness

Adele Postpones Las Vegas Residency Due to Illness

Adele, the renowned British singer, has announced the postponement of her Las Vegas residency scheduled for next month due to illness. The 35-year-old artist shared the update on social media, expressing regret for the inconvenience caused to fans.

Adele revealed that she had not fully recovered from a previous illness that persisted through her break at the end of the last leg of her Weekends With Adele residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. This setback has taken a toll on her voice, and on doctors' orders, she has no choice but to take a thorough rest. The postponed five weekends will be rescheduled for a later date, with details expected to be provided soon.

This marks the second time Adele has faced such a situation in her Las Vegas residency. Initially scheduled to start in January 2022, the residency faced a setback due to COVID, instead launching in November 2022. Adele's dedication to her fans is evident, as she extended the residency beyond its initial end date.

Aside from the Vegas shows, the Grammy winner recently announced her return to Europe after six years, with four nights booked in Germany for August. In an unexpected move, Adele will perform at Munich's Messe exhibition centre, boasting a capacity of 80,000. Her last performance in the UK was in July 2022 at the British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park.

Adele's ongoing Vegas residency, initially disrupted by the pandemic, has faced challenges, but the artist remains committed to delivering memorable performances. Despite the current setback, her fans eagerly await the rescheduled dates and look forward to her upcoming European shows in August.
