“I Had Fentanyl in My System”: Lisa Rinna Claims She Was Drugged at ‘The Traitors’ Premiere Party
WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — In a harrowing revelation that has sent shockwaves through the reality TV community, The Traitors star Lisa Rinna has claimed she was unknowingly drugged during a premiere event for the hit Peacock series.
Appearing on Good Day New York on Thursday to promote her new memoir, You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills icon confirmed rumors that she had been "roofied" during a January 8 celebration at The Abbey Food & Bar in West Hollywood.
The "Fentanyl" Bombshell
Rinna, 62, provided disturbing details about a subsequent medical evaluation, revealing that her system contained a cocktail of dangerous substances.
“I’m not kidding. I had fentanyl in my system. I had fentanyl, high levels of amphetamines, and other things,” Rinna told hosts Rosanna Scotto and Jerry O’Connell. “I can’t talk a lot about it because we’re still dealing with it. It was leaked, and my team is dealing with it now.”
The actress noted that while some attendees might have assumed she was simply intoxicated, the physical reality was far more severe. She credited her husband, Harry Hamlin, with recognizing the danger and "getting her out of there quickly."
The Abbey Responds
The Abbey, a world-famous West Hollywood landmark, issued a swift response to Rinna's allegations, stating they had conducted a "thorough internal review" upon being contacted by her team.
“We pulled and reviewed all available surveillance footage from the time in question and interviewed staff on duty. We found no evidence of drink tampering or suspicious behavior toward her,” the venue said in a statement. The Abbey also emphasized that they “cannot speak to medical findings” but take all guest safety reports “extremely seriously.”
Rinna, however, pushed back on the idea that this was an isolated incident, claiming that many of her daughters' friends have reported similar experiences at the venue over the years. “This is something that’s gone on for years, and I do think it needs to be a conversation,” she added.
An Unlikely Hero: Colton Underwood
The story first gained traction via TMZ earlier this week, which reported that Rinna’s Traitors co-star Colton Underwood was the one to first raise the alarm. Despite their well-documented on-screen friction, sources say Underwood noticed Rinna was “completely inebriated” despite having consumed very little alcohol throughout the night.
Underwood reportedly notified Rinna’s security team, who escorted her out of the party shortly after a group photo was taken. The incident has reportedly complicated the duo's off-screen relationship; while the "rescue" was a moment of solidarity, Rinna recently revealed that Underwood unfollowed her on social media following a "confrontation" at the Traitors Season 4 reunion taping earlier this month.
The ‘Traitors’ Finale Context
The bombshell revelation coincides with the highly anticipated Season 4 finale of The Traitors, which aired Thursday night. Rinna, who was selected as a "Traitor" early in the season, was a central figure in the show's strategic gameplay before her eventual banishment.
As the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Department has not yet confirmed an active criminal investigation, the "Queen of Talk" appears determined to use her platform to turn a personal trauma into a public safety dialogue.
