Hell’s Kitchen is Just Getting Started: ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 3 Confirmed to Begin Filming This Spring
NEW YORK, NY — The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen isn't hanging up the cowl anytime soon. In a massive win for Marvel fans, production sources have confirmed that Daredevil: Born Again has been officially greenlit for a third season, with filming slated to begin as early as next month.
The news comes just weeks before the highly anticipated premiere of Season 2, which is set to hit Disney+ on 24th March 2026. The rapid-fire renewal underscores Marvel Studios’ new "flagship" strategy for its street-level heroes, moving away from limited series in favor of multi-season, serialized storytelling.
Production Springs into Action
The update was inadvertently teased by cast member Arty Froushan (who plays Buck Cashman) and later corroborated by industry trackers. Unlike the tumultuous production of the show's first season—which underwent a total creative overhaul in 2023—the path to Season 3 appears to be a "smooth ride," with the creative team lead by showrunner Dario Scardapane remaining intact.
“We’re heading back to the streets this spring,” a production insider shared. “The goal is to keep the momentum of the Netflix era alive while bridging the gap toward the wider MCU. Season 3 is where the 'Defenders' DNA really starts to fuse with the 'Avengers' world.”
The Return of the Defenders?
The "Great News" for fans extends beyond just more episodes. With Season 2 already confirmed to feature the return of Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones, rumors are swirling that Season 3 will finally facilitate the full "Defenders" reunion fans have craved for years.

Luke Cage Looms: Actor Mike Colter recently broke his long silence on a potential return, telling the Inside of You podcast that he has had "active discussions" with Marvel and feels a comeback is "very, very likely."
-
The Iron Fist Factor: While less certain, whispers of a Danny Rand (Finn Jones) cameo in late Season 2 have led theorists to believe Season 3 will finally address the "Power Man and Iron Fist" partnership in a meaningful way.

A “Street-Level” Shift
While Season 1 focused heavily on the legal and political battle for New York, and Season 2 deals with the fallout of Wilson Fisk’s mayoral reign, Season 3 is reportedly leaning back into the gritty, "stealth-suit" action that defined the original Netflix run.
Showrunner Scardapane hinted in a recent interview that the third season would move away from the high-stakes politics of City Hall and return to the "blood and shadows" of the criminal underworld. This shift is reportedly designed to lead directly into the events of the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day film, which is rumored to feature a major crossover with the Born Again cast.
The Roadmap Ahead
Marvel’s schedule for the Man Without Fear is now more packed than ever:
-
24th March 2026: Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Premiere.
-
Late 2026: The Punisher Special Presentation (starring Jon Bernthal).
-
Spring 2027: Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 (Projected Release).
For fans who spent years campaigning to #SaveDaredevil, the current landscape is a dream scenario. Matt Murdock isn't just back, he’s become the anchor for an entire corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
